The CoBot is highly suited for use with CNC machines. Loading work involves a certain risk of injury to an employee. The CoBot can work quickly, without the need for safety measures such as shielding.
An example of this is the loading and unloading of a CNC machine tool, such as milling machines and lathes.
The robot can be programmed to operate in reduced mode when a person enters the robot’s work area and resume full speed when the person leaves. And as the CoBot is small, it may be perfect for small workshops.
The CoBot is quicker and more accurate than a human when loading the machine. It can work in all sorts of environments (with the exception of environments with corrosive substances, in which case the robot arm needs to be protected) and temperatures.
The intuitive software allows even the most inexperienced user to quickly grasp the basics of programming and set waypoints by simply moving the robot into position.
The minimum rated life for CoBots is 35,000 hours running with full payload and maximum speed. Replacing a joint can be done in less than one hour.
Advantages of CNC loading using a CoBot
The Cobot works:
- Without the risk of injury close to heavy machines
- Without the risk of injury due to repetitive work
