FAQ about CoBots
We supply (among other brands) the collaborative robotic arms of Universal Robots. There are three variants:
- UR3: 3 kg
- UR5: 5kg
- UR10: 10kg
This is the payload excluding the pressure force of the robot arm. This means that the payload of the CoBot does not have to be reduced with the pressure that the robot arm has to exert.
Yes, programs or tasks that you program can be saved and used later on. The programs can be saved to a USB stick so in principle you have an infinite number of programs you can save.
If you have taught the CoBot a task, then removed it from its place (for example, to have it perform another task, at another location), you can place it again at its previous location and have it perform its previous task. You do not have to learn it its job again. The position of the CoBot must be identical. You can have the CoBot perform a 3-point measurement to confirm that it is in the right place.
This depends on the path you want to teach the robot arm, but it is possible in 15 minutes. The intuitive graphical user interface makes it very easy. It is even possible to take the robot arm 'by the hand' and make the movement with it while you record it.

What a CoBot set costs depends on what you want it to do. For each application you will need at least a gripper or other tools. Prices start at € 22,000.
Just like buying a CoBot set, this depends on the application for which you want to use it. The robot arm is supplied as a plug & play set, with all accessories integrated. For a simple configuration you have to assume a rent at € 1.950 per month.

There are none. The robot arm can run 35,000 hours at maximum load / speed. All you have to do is clean the fan filter of the controller from time to time. In the unlikely event a joint needs to be replaced, it can be done in 30 minutes.
